Procam 4K imaging solution

The new PROCAM 4K camera incorporates a 1/2.5-type Exmor R sensor capable of 4K resolution (3,840 x 2,160, QFHD) at up to 30p. The camera features a high-quality 20x optical zoom lens which – when combined with super resolution zoom – can maintain 4K resolution at up to 30x zoom, providing enhanced 4K visibility.

Multiple camera settings can be predefined by the user. For example for tissue with very dark or very bright colours.

The camera must be mounted above the table for macroscopy at a fixed height. With the adapter lenses a height between 30cm to 150cm can be choosen.

By means of a computer capturing of images / video and voice can be performed.

As the camera has an autofocus, no adjustments have to be made. If however, the autofocus is not focussing the correct part, then the user can manually adjust the focus.

With a barcode reader (option) the specimen number can be read.

Thanks to the “Live” image it is very easy to zoom into the wanted area.

The zoom and the capture of the images can be controlled by foot pedal, with a mouse or by touchscreen. This way there is no more direct contact with the camera.

The images are saved as JPEG files on the hard disc of the computer or on an indicated area on the central server.

By entering the specimen number, the filename will automatically be the same and a link with existing databases (LIMS-systems) will become very easy.

The user has the possibility to automatically “engrave” a number of parameters, such as username, hospitalname, specimen number, date and scale.

Once pictures are made, the possibility exists to add text and figures as well as dimensions.
